Go Visit Letterkenny initiative unveiled at Arena7 Entertainment Complex
Yesterday we took a huge step forward in putting Letterkenny on the map as a premier tourist destination with the official launch of our new Go Visit Letterkenny website at the Arena7 Entertainment Complex on the Ramelton Road.
Our new website, www.govisitletterkenny.ie, has been designed to showcase everything our town has to offer, including attractions, dining, shopping, events and activities for visitors and locals alike. This is the result of a collective effort by local businesses who share one goal — to promote a positive message about Letterkenny and everything that makes it such a special place.
We were delighted to be joined at the launch by Karoline Sweeney, President of Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce, Joy Harron of Donegal Tourism and Joan Crawford of Fáilte Ireland, all of whom offered their congratulations and pledged their continued support for what we are trying to achieve.
Ciarán Brogan, Chairman of the Letterkenny and Milford Municipal District, spoke passionately about the importance of local buy-in, urging every business, hospitality provider and community organisation to get behind the project and help spread the message that Letterkenny is a wonderful place to visit, enjoy, stay and use as a base to explore the rest of Donegal. We couldn’t agree more.
We are just a short drive from some of Ireland’s most iconic attractions, including Glenveagh Castle, Fanad Lighthouse and Slieve Liag, and we want the world to know it.
